  1. Would love to know what to juice and what to blendtec as a pocket guide. In fact, I've seen a lot of John's videos and I agree with everything I've seen mostly… I would like just a big list of everything he does to grow and to process food along with any other knowledge without any explanations or expounding. Just bullet points to where I can have a kitchen and garden list.

  2. I wish you would put links to the products like worm castings, etc., that you recommend. Why not have a simple website with links to your favorite items? Or at least links here?

  3. Im not a vegan, I love me a good steak. I do however LOVE your videos. You do not get pushy or obnoxious about being vegan, you stick to the topic of growing, gardening and health benefits of the veggies you are discussing. BONUS: you are in my area, so your weather and climate struggles are mine. I really appreciate you.
QUESTION: Can you do an episode discussing edible flowers and when they can grow? For instance, for our region, calendula and borage grows all winter, do the pansies and violas? What else is edible?

  4. Oh nice!!😊 i love your garden!! Purple is one of my favorite colors… 💚 I’m into plants as well.. however, I’m having a hard time growing vegetables. Most of them just died. Not to mention my dog always dig them 😅

  5. Hey John, if any of your viewers are interested in healing themselves with a plant based diet, please send them over to http://www.plantbasedtelehealth.com. I’m a plant-based doc in NorCal, and you and I briefly met at the Heirloom Fest a few years ago. Thanks for what you do. Keep on spreading the the good word!

  6. Love the video. Lots of info as always.❤ How to get rid of fungus knats? I read 1 part peroxide and 4 parts water but is that the best way? I have none in my vegetable garden but only in potted plants outside.

  7. I have caught on to juicing. I accidentally found you in regards to the juicers, then today – wow – I discovered your webpage about growing the greens. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Your personality is charming!

  8. You ARE making a difference John ❤ I bought the Omega juicer from you 😊 (best juicer EVER!) and I will be getting a Blendtec Vacuum blender attachment for my Vitamix blender base once they come back in stock 💯 Thank you for sharing your journey and your wealth of knowledge with us all 🤗

  9. I got a recipe which changed my health life >> Put these in blender, Makes 2 servings >> 7 oak leaves ; 4 or 10 acorns ; small grab of pine needles ; 2 big orange leaves ; 1 large fig leaf ; 17 leaves of the heavenly tree . 1 oz of cashew ; 1 oz of quinoa ; 1 full glass of water for the blending to work.. All of those need to be raw and fresh picked. I also add random herbs & flowers sometimes, but the core recipe is the tree leaves. TBH I have an herb only recipe for that time of year tho… Whatever is in the tree leaves vary throughout the year & whether or not it's producing fruit. The acorns neutralize in the blender water.
Also, u gotta try Amaranth. Don't worry about the seeds. just grab the whole fluffy green bud & that one you cook with normal meals. the seeds come with the bud.

Eating typical leafy greens is cool an all, but it hardly feeds you & is a constant struggle to win against the bugs & deer. I have literally lived on these recipe's as my soul/only food source for extended times. 2 complete years once, but I have to go back to the city sometimes. (Just being honest) . i've been doing this for at least a decade, now I loathe going back to city food. Now, City food makes me Feel starved with a bellyful & it tastes like salty cardboard with added drugs.
Tread light with this recipe it is powerful and is typically able to feed me for 1.5 days. All while working in the wilderness where I probably hike at least 5 miles a day & pull tree's for fire clearing.

  10. Its not CHARD for YOU to be AWESOME John, that's natural for you! Thank you so much for sharing this video with us all, seems like the only purple veggie I'm eating at present is the cabbage, but as of today seeing on getting me some bok choy, and a purple colored potato or sweet potato would be great as well as the Jasberry rice from Thailand you showed here. In reference to the corn, be sure you 'nixtamalize' the corn so it will be easily digested by your stomach/gut, Nixtamalization is cooking the corn in a lime(limestone)solution, tinting the cooking water a cloudy white, once cooked its preferable to peel the tamo off and then mill the cooked corn and you'll have a healthier cornmeal for your consumption. Thumbs up and greetings from Mexico. 🙂

  11. As someone who loves to grow purple varieties, have you ever noticed them having slower growth or needing more water or nutrients than their more conventional counterparts?

  12. Do you have any videos on pigeon peas? Medicinal leaves, really high iron — kind of seems like the type of thing that you might be interested in.

  13. I randomly stumbled upon your videos almost 10 years ago when I was in college eating the standard american diet. It took me a long time to come around but I've been 99% vegan for a few years now and just started my first garden 🙂 I'm planting red kale, red lettuce, red peas, and red beans among many others

  14. I've been watching your videos for a while now. I am new at this gardening stuff but am trying a lot of the stuff you are teaching us. I have purple violas that I am grazing on now. Love what you are doing.
