Hey guys! I hope you found some value in this episode and found some of these news quite interesting! Also, forgot to mention the good old "I'm not a financial advisor so DO YOUR OWN DILIGENCE because I'm merely a Canadian boy who sees the potential in the psychedelic industry and not a Financial advisor. ALSO…DO.NOT.WORRY. In the video, I will answer, as promised, the most liked comment of my previous video. SAYONARA for now! ✌
The rich stay rich by spending like the poor and investing without stopping then the poor stay poor by spending like the rich yet not investing like the rich
Much more research has to be done in the psychedelic space. I think that the largest hurdle to overcome regarding microdosing clinical trials, is that we have not decided as a society what a micro dose actually is. Obviously, high dose psychedelics' have a profound transformative effect on the human mind. If "microdosing" has no effects beyond placebo, the dose needs to be increased. This process will take years of trial and error. I'm certain that there will be a dose discovered that people will be able to consistently take that has neurological benefits, without becoming one with the entire universe.
Also commenting here: Some of the infos are incorrect on the first study:
1. No one took MDMA in the study. 61% used LSD, 14% used 1p-LSD, 24% used psilocybin and 3 people used LSA or DOB. While you can criticise them taking DOB or LSA, 3 people had no statistical significance or the potential to fuck up the results.
2. People didn't have to be microdosing before. This was made clear in the study and also in the promo videos for the study. This stands in the article you talk about, but not in the study itself. People had to have experience with psychedelics before and had to want to microdose. This is important for the scientists, because encouraging people to take illegal substances uncontrolled would go through no ethic panel. Hence, everyone who participated must check that they did this because of their own will or because they already wanted to microdose/are already microdosing.
3. The interpretation that the actually just found that microdosing effects stay after not taking them anymore is questionable. If this is the case, why did all scores increased compared to their baseline even though they all just got a placebo? And why did the score increase wasn't higher than for the ones who were actually continuing microdosing?
4. We need other studys. We have other studies: Family et al 2020 failed to find any effect on cognition up to 26ug I believe compared to a placebo. Bershad et al 2019 failed to find any effects on cognition or mood compared to the placebo. Hutten et al. 2020 found some effects. Half showed a small decrease in anger and depression. But for some confusion, anxiety, concentration and productivity also seemed to be impaired. All double blind placebo controlled studies seem to mostly fail finding any effects. And if they find effects, they seem to be very small and not only positive but negative aswell.
This doesn't mean that MMEDs studies may fail for ADHD, considering all the studies I named above are not for people with ADHD specifically.
Sounds like atai isn't ready to IPO… Not sure why they would need cash that badly rather than wait for the listing? (This is not investment advice, etc etc)
Just found your vids through Reddit posts. I appreciate the recaps! Have you looked at Delic at all in this space? I'm trying to build out my portfolio (so far MindMed and Numi are faves) and saw their Wall Street reporter interview. 3 big acquisitions in the past month – quick to scale ketamine clinics, a homegrow mushroom kit company, and a psilocybin research lab – on top of their foundational media presence (ex-High Times crew)….seems like everybody is looking right past them and I can't figure out why.
Hey! I’m interested in psychedelic stocks and I was wondering if you’re a part of a discord group that I could join. Would love to hear from tiger like-minded investors and share psychedelic stocks that I’m interested in.
As somebody that worked at the university during my college years, academia left me pretty disillusioned, scientists are pressured to produce papers, any papers. So some of them don't make proper setups for experiments, some of them make up some data to show at least a bit of correlation etc. I would say 95% of papers out there are bullshit. For this reason, it's normal to see papers for which the results contradict themselves. Wait until there are more papers out until you decide to panic.
I was micro-dosing psilocybin for 3 months duration multiple times. Had a big break inbetween those periods. I definitely felt positive effects during, but also after a microdosing period. Positive effects dont simply wear off right after you stop microdosing, at least from my experience. So yes, if you ask my opinion on this study, i do think its flawed.
Since, as you point out, a market crash could be an existential event for some of the psychedelic companies you cover, perhaps you can discuss the balance sheets of the usual suspects. In particular, cash on hand and recent burn rate. I think this could provide a picture of which companies are more likely to make it through a major bear market. Thank you.
Im all for recreational use, thats how i had my life changing trip that you could say was the most beneficial and healthy thing that ever happened in my life. But im not sold on red light holland. A lot of people really like them and think they are going to do well, i dont know im not sold on it. Love the content man! Oh yeah, you should totally DO IT
