  1. BEFORE YOU BUY NATIVE, while it is affordable… it wasn’t worth the « savings » for me. It’s not smooth not even a little bit. It’s the dryest & hardest deodorant I’ve ever used. When I contacted the company, they said to run it under warm water or to rub it to soften it. I never had to do that so, I threw it out after 1 attempt. When I first went natural 6 years ago, I detoxed with clay & then, I used LaVanilla’s deodorant (which used to be sold at Sephora). Now, you can order it online. It smells amazing (lots of scents or unscented) & it’s soft like standard deodorants OTC + all natural without all of the bad stuff. Take a look before you buy. I get compliments ALL DAY at work, my colleagues always think I just put on lotion or perfume when I walk past them but, nope… it’s the deodorant. It’s not strong, it’s pleasant. Again, I’ve tested quite a few… this one really works! I work for dental surgeons, it’s not overwhelming but, it keeps you dry, funk-free & it’s lovely to use.

  2. Get you a natural deodorant with magnesium hydroxide (aka milk of magnesia). She is that girl that will not only keep you BO-free but will actually REVERSE existing BO (if you've been experimenting with magnesium-free deodorants like me). Some really good ones I've tried include Schmidt sensitive skin formula (coconut oil based so apply ~3-4 swipes) and Secret aluminum free (apply liberally). I've even heard that plain old milk of magnesia from the dollar store can work great as a deodorant, but I haven't tried it yet.

Baking soda based formulas do no provide as effective odor control for me and caused itchy rashes/discoloration/peeling.

  3. I have a sensitivity to baking powder that is in most natural deodorants and after a while of using them started to get rashes so ended up switching to Lume and love it. Not the cheapest though

  4. In addition to Native, I always reccomend trying Pretty Frank pot or Schmidts pot deodorants. After 4 or 5 years I always go back to Schmidts pot deodorants. The Pretty Frank brand also has a detox charcoal deodorant to wear overnight and they have a sensitive zinc formula (the best they offer in my opinion)

  5. Natural deodorants kept embarrassing me over the summer. I detoxed and tried 5+ brands. I even tried Native, but I apparently got the “wrong” one (coconut & vanilla). I have since given up, but I heard eucalyptus & mint is one of their best if you do try it.

  6. My fav body care product for 4 years running is my shower head filter. Getting that chlorine out of your water will change the game for your skin and hair. 🙌🏾🚿

  7. I’m so happy you tried the detoxing and please update on the natural deodorant journey 🥳! I use the Dove unscented and Honey Pot too as I’ve started using more products that use natural ingredients and less chemicals. I’m a breast cancer survivor (I’m very young to have had it) & I’m try to change what put on or in my body 😉 🎀🤎!!!

  8. I love a thorough body care routine video. When I hit my late 20s and going into my 30s, I had to give up on the heavily scented body washes because they were irritating my skin. I love wearing a soft scent at night. JoMalone Pomegranate Noir is my favorite for daytime and nighttime because it’s sexy sweet. Once I finish my Aveeno body wash, I’m going to try Dove because Aveeno is never moisturizing enough for me.

  9. something about jergens lotion… i use the in-shower lotion and it really changed the game. At first it was one of those things that works will in the winter but when its warm out, it just leave you feeling like some SILK

  10. Be careful with Kopari – the deodorant burned my underarms. Took 3 months of armpit detox and kojic acid soap to get rid of the hyperpigmentation it left behind from the scaring.

  11. I use the Dove sensitive skin body wash religiously because I have had sensitive skin since I was a baby. I want to try that foot file because the pumice stones are not cutting it. I also want to try the underarm detox because I want to try either the aluminum-free Dove deodorant or the Native.

  12. I like necessaire but you weren't playing with their prices and size ratio. I love the body serum but I quickly run out of it and am just gonna run out of the lotion. I also had the hand cream and my mom loves it more than me. Only thing that is more bang for buck for me is their body wash. I'm almost done with their fragrance free one and it lasts a long time. Haven't tried their scrub and deodorant.

  13. One of the best bodycare things that I did during quarantine was start using natural deodorant. I can't use any with baking soda because it irritates me. I love Dove 0% Aluminum deodorant because it's pretty affordable (less than $7) and it's readily available every where.

  14. I’m very interested in the the Pacifica Underarm Detox, it might be TMI, but I get these underarm growths we call Risings in the South. A very painful boil full of stuff your body is trying to get rid of. I have had to get them lanced at the emergency room, even had surgery twice. So I’m getting this. Also want to check out the Soap & Glory feet product. Good looking out, this is very helpful.

  15. I love that Dove Sensitive Skin body wash! I would definitely recommend the Tree Hut sugar scrubs, The Ashanti Collection body butters(not the singer lol), and Elle Vie Shea Butter body oil.

  16. Great routine!

I do have some thoughts about armpits. Most things that are on the market for "detoxing" purposes are fake don't actually do any detoxing; because they are typically claiming to detoxify areas or things that were never toxic to begin with. Your body has organs that does all the required and necessary detoxing. All chemicals are toxic in a certain amount. Even water. Average deodorants are formulated in a way that are not toxic. They don't make your armpits toxic. So, your armpit doesn't need to be detoxified. The "natural" deodorant thing seems like a myth. Its still made of chemicals right? One could say many of those are toxic for having fragrances. Aluminum and other popular antiperspirant deodorant are not toxic. That's a marketing myth. Dr. Dray and Lab Muffin Beauty have good videos on this.
