  1. Would this nutrient type (Peters Professional 20-10-20 NPK) and method work with a soil based plant grow medium? (ie, with 1 part compost, 1 part vermiculite, 1 part potting mix?), or is it only recommended for the 50 /50 peat / vermiculite grow medium you show here? In the video you said, "This nutrient provides ample nutrients, as long as we are over watering" – creating about 10 percent run off with each fert. /watering. Since a soil based grow medium, as I described, is not as loose, and probably will compact some and not provide as much run off, does this mean I should use a higher, or maybe even lesser percentage NPK fert./ water, to compensate? Thanks Mr. Bugbee. Thanks.

  2. One problem with light. Indoor grow lights. Too bright in the first two months of grow will light burn your plants. Even moving the grow light away you will still get light burn if too much. Then after 2 months, while the plant gets good roots started, then 12/12 flip of light and darkness, then the plant goes into overdrive thinking it's the end of life and get started with buds. Then you might use that he is saying. I am just figuring this out winging it for years now. So Bruce is correct, but you have to think about the growth cycle first and it's needs.

  3. You are wrong about using vermiculite for cannabis, because it will hold on the water and give you problems with weet feet. Perlite is the one you would use because it is the opposite of verm.

    Vermiculite = Magic mushrooms
    Perlite = Cannabis

    Or else the rest is nice info for growing ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Very good info. I have 2 questions… 1. You do not mention the importance of PH of the water that is used to feed the plants, Do you think that it is important? 2. Your nutrients that you use to feed… Do you not switch to something with a lower nitrogen level during flowering? If you use the same formula throughout your grow, it would seem like the buds would not get dense due to the nitrogen. Thanks and I hope to hear back from you soon.

  5. The Fahrenheit/Celsius thing still drives me nuts. Half of my life Fahrenheit was dominant but over the past 20 years that has changed for some reason?
    Great (classic) video as always.
    Bruce has such a cool vibe and he is one of those rare great teachers.
    Thank you BB!
