Big Pharma is why Obama doesn't push it. He is lobbied by all the big companies

I believe we will see more legalization in all 50 states by 2017. I believe some will not be happy with the end result. I fear we will see federal legislation that puts manufacturing into the hands of big pharma or big tobacco, and the greatness that has been achieved in Colorado will be undone. Too big to fail is the way of the world, and our government will keep that as is. They will make cannabis replace the losses in opiate addiction. The taxes will be insane, and growing your own will not likely be an option. Let's just hope the weed will be good enough to cure the pain of being screwed really really hard by our government.
How would life be if the world smoked weed? I guarantee there'd be peace not greed.
for the last 15 years they have animal studiesΒ that have shown that THC and CBD have 1. cancer preventing effects (anti-inflammatory, antioxidant)Β 2. cancer fighting effects (Β directly induce apoptosis of cancer cells and the suppression of cancer cell induced vascular formation).
Misinterpretation to claim marijuana cures brain tumors. One mouse study; used concomitantly with radiation. No where close to prime time.
Wooow…they will admit soon that the Earth isnt a ball…just push..
Like all the other corrupt politicians Obama is getting paid one way or another to keep marijuana illegal
Don't kid yourself, the government would not use that money to benefit the 99% in any way.
Stop demonizing heroin.
I'm sick of the comparison with another drug which should be legal. "oh, it's not like heroin" to make weed sound good is counterproductive to really fixing things. It's another drug that should be legal, and would be far FAR safer if it were regulated for strength and additive content. If it isn't cut with household cleaners, and the strength is consistent, you're going to virtually eliminate heroin deaths. Legal shooting galleries alone can make a HUGE difference to that; even in places where it is still illegal. A little education and smarter application of resources saves money and lives.
Please, stop with the rhetoric, of weed should be legal, but heroin is bad, and focus on the direction of the government should not be legislating the choices of what to put into your own body.
When used with Radiation???, FUCK the Radiation off………CBD (cannabidiol) will still work on its own.
The propaganda against marijuana has had a huge effect on older generations. My parents think it's a horrible drug like meth or heroine. I always bring up the subject with them because it's insane to believe it's so bad when there's so much information proving that it's much safer than even alcohol, which is legal! My father has a brain tumor and I'm certain that it wouldn't be nearly as bad if he were to have been using some sort of medical marijuana treatment. So instead my father takes about 10 or more pills a day, all that have some serious effects on his motor and thought processing skills. I can't wait until there's some sort of revolution via education so people aren't being taken for a ride like my parents have been. I also know if it was legal my dad would save hundreds of dollars on pills in just a single month. He'd be feeling better and have more money.
I am more interested in the data recorded under full legalization conditions instead of patched out bullshit done under the restricted conditions of prohibition. Until this happens we can not get an honest answer to rather or not the alleged medical benefits recorded are bull shit or not.
This country is so damn backwards. Legalizing weed would help out so many states financially. As being proven in Colorado it can work.
I repeat a black man can not and should not be responsible for legalizing weed
Its scary all the money they make n what they r going to do with it. Obviously not to no good.our country will be destroyed.
They all talk stupid that smoke mari. I'm not surprized if they all turn like zombies!!!!
If all drugs were decriminalised wouldn't it potentially mean that less police will be needed? People usually talk about police forces losing money they get from seizures. But if drugs start to be decriminalised then a lot of related crime may go down as well such as theft by addicts to buy drugs. The government would then realise that they can save money by having smaller police forces.
So it would be in police forces interest to be against decriminalisation. Being made redundant isn't a nice prospect.
I hope Florida passes the law soon, because im sick of taking drug test for a job when as soon as I pass I smoke anyways. You cant stop people from doing what they want.
There's money to be made on both sides here. The black market doesn't want it legal anymore than law enforcement. Two sides of the same coin. Its like a symbiotic relationship.
He doesn't even have to worry about reelection!! He has NO excuse not to take action on gay marriage and marijuana legalization on a federal level. He's being conservative and I thought he was supposed to be the "liberal" vote.
It looks like Obama won't do anything to legalize marijuana, and if Chris Christie or Jeb Bush becomes president…no legal weed.
Private prisons and pharmacies wouldn't like the idea of legalized weed.
