  1. I would LOVE to see a DIY version of Spongelle body wash infused sponges. It's not hard like M&P soap just soaked into a sponge, it's softer than that. Slightly stiff at first use but still soft enough to squeeze and not so soft as to all wash out of the sponge in 1 use. Depending on how much water they're exposed to and how hard you squeeze them out and how hard you scrub with them you can get 14+ washes out of them. I cut mine smaller so I'm not wasting extra product when I am using it and squeezing it out enough to let dry on it's own between showers. But they're quite expensive for what they actually hard- semi solid body wash soaked sponges.. so I think they'd make a great DIY. I was going to try using a m&p base but making additions so it doesn't harden fully but I'm not sure what to try!

  2. I understand the ingredient differences between this and m&p soap, but what are the practical, performance differences? What makes something a solid body was as opposed to soap?

  3. I used to make these with my step sons. I used Star Wars molds. Shower time went from a huge battle to a playtime! P.S. I have ur book and my oldest flips through it 🙂

  4. This is an interesting recipe and I read the blog post too! My question is what about adding an oil or butter to help make it more moisturizing? I would assume in a small percentage of course as I'm sure it will affect the lather but a) would it be needed, is this a drying soap, and b) up to what percentage could be added so the structure wouldn't be affected?! 🤔
Really enjoying watching and reading your posts!! They are so much appreciated!

  5. So if I have instead vegetable glycerine instead of propanediol/ propylene glycol
And SCI instead of Sodium Coco Sulfate (SCS)
How about the sodium stearate , what would be a replacement?
would that work? what would be the proportion then?

  6. Do you have a lotion that is safe for faces? Everytime I buy a face lotion something comes out about the company/product where there is something bad in it. A cream or lotion is okay. I was considering your whipped shea butter recipe but feel that it may be too heavy, and I was also considering your most recent pumpable lotion. If you have something better please let me know as sometimes I don't see or notice some recipes!

  7. I love this! I was wondering if you you have ever tried making a lipid based cleanser that's in between a balm and an oil. Or maybe something that can coagulate a thin oil into gel that can be dispensed in a pump. Still formulated without water but emulsifies when it's added. I just really like oil cleansers as a first step but they tend to fall out of my hand to and get messy. Balm cleansers are annoying to melt and the chunks fall off my face unless it's melted.
