  1. Even if you're against recreational marijuana use, which I guess I can understand, you're insane if you're against medicinal marijuana. Sanjay Gupta, one of the most revered neurologists in the country, has admitted that he was in the wrong when he was against it, and is now for it.

  2. Can anyone explain to me why Marijuana got banned from the first place. As far as I gather, it is linked to greedy industrialist who had "FRIEND" at DEA at the time, but what I had as all circumstantial.

  3. The active ingredient in marijuana that makes it hallucinogenic is THC. Take away that and just use marijuana for it's medicinal properties would make it just another medicinal plant. The active ingredient is the stuff in marijuana that could affect or damage short term memory, but other than that there's nothing wrong with using other medicinal properties of the plant for curing diseases like cancer.

  4. Then, let's just sue the government big time, the same (opposite) way we did when we figured the tobacco companies are bunch of lying, murderous thieves – find the right lawyer and sue the fucking government for withholding an incredibly important, natural medicine from sick people!

  5. Congress must have stock in radiation therapy and device manufacture. Between fighting cancer with polio and pot and what the heck the Gearson therapy who needs traditional cancer treatments.

  6. Im no genius, but when there's no good reason for keeping something illegal why do it? I understand that pharmaceutical companies and law enforcement stand to gain from marijuana being illegal but all the new evidence says that they are clinging to outdated ideals. Too many people already know too much for the government to effectively remain surreptitious and hide behind faulty studies like Reagan did. The change is inevitable, why fight so hard for all the wrong reasons? Big organizations never could accept change.

  7. Still skeptic. Hard to know when every idiot out there says this drug can cure any diagnosis the world has to offer.. But I do think it helps for certain kinds of epilepsy.

  8. Can obama sign an e.o. already protecting state legal marijuana users or better yet federally legalizing it? He was in the choom gang years ago blazing up and sniffing yayo! He has also been the president for almost 7 years,is that not enough proof that marijuana doesnt limit or damage people? Enough with the hypocrisy!

  9. The DEA is part of the Justice Department. The DEA needs to keep their jobs, so they push Justice to go keep going after the easiest target, marijuana. It's all about the DEA and to some extent, Justice in keeping jobs, budget, and relevance.

  10. Recently i think even kyle talked about manditory voting kinda like in australia.
I think one way to get a true divide in political allegiences is hy allowing More people to vote.
If you are an American citizen, You can vote for. Felony doesnt matter. Being incarcerated doesn't matter.
I agree there is currently a lack of party divide in terms of legislation support ( 2 parties, 1 policy )
But if you destroy the ways people are being stopped from voting, anf instead Gave them the Inherit right to cast their vote, i think the pilitical scene would have to Diversify, and thus, move Left. Toward social democracy.

  11. I understand, change is slow, but at the very least we should change it from class 1 to class 2 narcotic. Morphine is class 2 and it is FAR more dangerous than pot.

  12. marijuana laws make about as much sense as sodomy laws. it's natural and people are gonna do it anyways, right? also, it's weird how our government is so prudish about smoking weed and buttfucking, but they have no problem starting wars, torturing people, spying on u.s. citizens, etc.

  13. All too often, people use the term, "the government," as if it were a single monolithic unit.  The government is made up of people, some rational, some not so much.  Some ethical, some not so much.  The best we can do is stay informed, and when we spot an irrational or corrupt member of govt that is up for an election we can vote in, to do so and also recruit like minded people to do the same.

  14. Congress will never legalize marijuana until all who fight it, are in hospital beds suffering from some kind of diseases, and are forced to take medicinal marijuana to alleviate their pain. But even then I'm sure that they would just turn into giant hypocrites and continue to fight it.

  15. As far back as 1974 researchers at the Medical College of Virginia used THC to slow several types of cancer growth in mice. In 2000, Dr. Manuel Guzman of Complutense University in Madrid was able to duplicate the results by injecting rats with THC, shrinking and eradicating incurable brain tumors. Don't take my word for it, Google this yourself. We've been sitting on this medical breakthrough for generations and people in power are doing everything they can to suppress further research.

  16. Someone tell me why some people like to play God… They think they know what is best for everyone? Well I'll be fucked with a 69 FT double header dildo in the anus. They need to just let the people get what they want

  17. Don't get me wrong, I 100% believe Marijuana should be legal for recreational and medicinal use, but why do both sides skew the statistics and studies so much to push their own agenda? It just makes them look dodgy. All the people who want Marijuana legal completely ignore multiple studies that show Marijuana can suppress the immune system and trigger psychotic behaviour. Yet all go crazy, insinuate that Marijuana is the cure for everything and claim the government won't admit it because of a few shabby study done on mice that really isn't solid proof that Marijuana is helpful in treating cancer.
