Does Marijuana Make You A Loser? Not Necessarily.

A recent study determined that people who smoke weed aren’t as successful as people who don’t, but here is why that’s flawed. Is Pot A Gateway Drug?

  1. How come I’ve had 3-4 gpa friends get lazy dropout and start selling drugs after becoming heavy weed smokers. All they talk about is weed all day

  2. Weed doesn't make you a loser, but addiction or dependency does.. be it to anything like tobacco , alcohol, caffeine, any sort of drug, sugar, junk or refined food, gambling, porn n masturbation, overeating, social media, electronic gadgets, etc

Its all about limited use or moderation..

  3. From my own personal experience, when I smoked occasionally (every 2-3 weeks), the high would up my creativity to levels I never thought possible. It made me drop all barriers.
When I started smoking weed every day, that changed and I became lazy, ignorant and arrogant. I didn't care to listen to other people's problems anymore and I could only think in a straight line. I became irritable and unable to think outside the box because of it.
As with everything in life, moderation is key. I stopped smoking weed but so many once very good friends of mine continued to use it and became pissed that I stopped. I now see drugs in a totally different light and I say, yes, smoking too much weed is definitely harmful.

  4. I was a heavy user of pot. I vaped it pretty much everyday. I also combined it often with alcohol to get crossed.
I've been off of it for almost 2 months now. I do have to say, I've noticed I can't think as clearly as I used to.

If weed is something you enjoy, don't let someone random guy on the internet such as myself dissuade you from doing whatever the hell you want.
I guess this comment is more so to see if any other heavy users who have quit have similar experiences

  5. Well, I don't care if it safe, or even legal which it is in Illinois now. It smells horrible. Pot smokers are incredibly selfish people. I know this because my neighbors smoke up on a regular basis and it smells like a skunk has gone off in the halls. It gets into everything and everywhere, including my apartment on occasion.

It is menace. Like smokers of cigarettes, most pot smokers walk around deluded and with a sense of entitlement. It is not fair to the vast majority of non drug users.

  6. People love to justify the use of drugs but the truth of the matter is is that drugs are marketed to the mass public to be something cool just like alcohol and once you addicted to it you spent tons of money on it … people wake up stop listening to what the television and rap stars and athletes and actors tell you what’s cool and do your own cool thing…

  7. I was for legalizing weed and I actually voted to make it legal, but I changed my mind. Cannabis laws should be vigorously enforced to keep this dangerous substances stigmatized, drug users marginalized, and keep society safe and productive.

  8. Hello, from the future 2016! It is legal now in IL. The next year will be interesting. Personally, I don't care. Baked or not, the sun rises just as fast for stoners as it does drunks.

  9. pot causes psychosis which makes potheads not want to interact with others especially people who judge everyone has there drug of choice speaking of which eathing certain thing give you a euphoric effect on the brain like the same effect of some drugs

  10. i mean have you ever chilled with an alchoholic who cant control their drinking as opposed to some pot head who just smokes too much? big difference in my opinion

  11. Emmm a bit tooo simple of an explanation.
If possible please redo the vid using a more wholistic approach i.e. showing both pros and cons of usage and an understanding of changing value systems. Also… if the study was created 40yrs ago wouldn’t it be fair to assume that it be loaded with biases.

Cough cough, Nancy Regans Just Say No!

I do get the part of hey look at this interesting data from the past. It was compiled under this premise and parameters.

  12. Having a focused driven, clear, motivated mind: what a difference. Hey, maybe Nemery Thentel's website can also help you quit within a week, without having to worry about having a panic attack in the process. Just google it and read the first few entries to see if it would be something that could make sense to you too.

  13. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that a lot of professions institute rigorous drug testing regimes. Like maybe GM has to turn down a lot of highly skilled applicants because of a positive hair test for marijuana. I DUNNO, IT JUST MIGHT HAPPEN. </sarcasm>

  14. Your first reason is the reason why its illegal…
The gov can't control our decisions no more.
They can't define our happiness no more….

    Light it up…

And DC… you're a sell out disgrace to real science.

  15. Relating cannabis to the socioeconomic ladder is preposterous. The whole idea of cannabis is to separate yourself in some manner from socioeconomic bullshit. We think its a joke, its not that we dont want to do it. To us, its all just a silly game
