As I mentioned before, this is a really wonderful cream. My question is, how do you figure out the entire VOLUME (all the ingredients) so you can calculate the preservative? And how do you make a larger recipe? Can you just double up the ingredients?
Hi Ellen, just finished making this lotion. OMGoodness!! It is wonderful and not greasy. The only issue I had was calculating the preservative that I used (not great at math) so my hubby did it for me. π. Thanks for the recipe.
I was so happy to see you choose Optiphen. What do you think about BTMS-50 as an emulsifier? You're my new Formulator Mentor by the way. π. Since I've acquired arthritis in my 40's I'm gonna also try to add Kombo Butter. Its a dark color that soothes inflammation and pain. I'll give your recipe a shot. π
Another recipe I am going to make. All your natural products, I really love. You are the Best..I cannot get enough of your ideas and information. As always you are worth your weight in Gold plus more…:)
Hello Ellen!! I have a question, can I add some Rose Clay to this body Butter recipe? Would it preserve well or could spoil it? Thank you in advance!! Iβm so happy I subscribed to your channel, so every single new video of you pops up in my news! Xoxox
I have been searching and searching for a great moderately heavy creamy body lotion recipe and instructions! This will be my first time making lotion. I have made several body butters, but wanted a lotion that sinks into the skin a little better. Thank you thank you thank you for this recipe! I am so excited to try this. Will be using a little bit of lanolin, kukui butter, meadowfoam oil, primrose oil… and who knows what else yetβ¦ aiming for lots of luxury! We are going into winter and my skin is always very very dry. And this is for me personally, I do not sell, but I will absolutely use a preservative! Thank you so much Ellen, I so admire you!
Thank you Ellen, for doing the research & sharing/us! I'm really a fan of body butter, something that absorbs into to your skin very easily. I think a little grapeseed oil would great for a light absorbing moisturizer. Love you!
If you are making this just for yourself do you have to put in the preservative? Also what is the Stearic Acid, what is its purpose. I'm trying not to buy ingredients that I won't ever use.
thank u so much for this video! itβs by far the easiest water/oil combined cream video and recipe i have watched and followed and my cream has turned out so so beautifully!

Hi Ruth, thank you for sharing your recipe, it looks amazing and canβt wait to try it out. With the preservative you use, what sort of shelf life do these lotions have and also do you store it in a refrigerator when done. Iβve read so many different things about preservatives Iβm a little confused?
Hi Ellen, I love your videos, your work and your kind character. Excellent recipe! And all the recommendations you make to us and of course it is your recipe and you share it with the best intention and it is appreciated in that way.

Hi Ellen, just another quick question. I got optiphen and it says: recommended usage: 0.5 – 1.5%. However, I checked the website were I got it and it doesnβt specified the quantity of cream for when I can use the % of Optiphen. Any idea how I can calculate my preservative for the same amount of cream you are using? Thanks!
So beautiful. Thank you for your kindness. One question, did you mix the fragrance with the preservative together before incorporating them to the cream?
I like watching your videos while I'm at work! π I even re-watch videos, especially for the soaps I'm planning on purchasing, or whatever videos don't have a lot of views π Glad to see your channel is growing Ellen! Excited for my 2nd order!!
