I can first hand say that daily and abusive use of marijuana played a big part in my first psychotic episode 2 years ago. I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder later. Even today, the moment I have marijuana I get a surge of schizophrenic psychotic episodes. A lot of people I've spoken to in my schizophrenia group have experienced the same, yet it doesn't have the same effect on some other schizophrenics
