Kicking and cutting the male plant around the females should've made some pollen spill on them.
Hey grow 420 guide, had a quick question for you. Big fan btw learned a ton from your videos. Thanks for that. Anyway I've never had any males in my garden yet, gotten pretty lucky in that regard but I was wondering about how many weeks in flower do you have to spot them, and get them out before they start releasing pollen?

my males seem to always grow up taller faster than my girls, so i keep an extra close eye on them so it never gets to that point
another note is that while sativa and indica usually start indicating around 8 weeks, I've been crossing my kush and headband with autoflower (ruderalis) and they are already showing pre-flowers at around 5 weeks, ready to harvest mid july so I get 2 different harvests from the same season's crop.

Why didnt you just collect the pollen (after placing them in a box with a few cfls) and then you just get some of the pollen on a small water paint brush and sex it with some of the females but not all over, I am pretty sure this is called selective breeding.

next time- leave the dramatics out of it & save yourself the accident potential 4 pollination. When u shake males like u did kicking it (especially since your plants are as close 2 1 another as they are) u r causing the likelihood of pollination 2 increase exponentially. Also, cutting them & just allowing the cuttings 2 fall all over your beautiful femmes b4 hitting the ground?! 4 future reference- CAREFULLY remove all male plants as soon as possible being CAREFUL not to shake out any pollen.
