LED grow lights are some of the most confusing pieces of grow technology on the market, and made more so by LED manufacturers purposefully confusing …

When looking at the foot print of the LEDTonic Z5 @ 4:20 one needs to take into account the size of the fixture. The LEDTonic Z5 is 13.6" x 12". So the size of the fixture is pretty much the size of the inner square. That inner square…I call the kill zone. If you don't have a full canopy to fill in the entire grow space, I wouldn't put any plants in there.
That's messed up though. They say the light is for a 2.5 x 2.5 or a 2 x 2, but the light is super intense in the center square foot of the garden.
My question is, at what height does the light need to be placed in order to achieve the same light intensity across the entire canopy? 10 – 15 feet?
excellent dive into the mechanics of efficacy of units and terminology. You have literally saved me hours, if not days of reserch into grasping the facts vs the market myths. I actually created a PP presentation from your informational. This approach always helps me check for any missing concepts I may have blanked out on. Let me know if you ever do one of these on dialectical materialism. thanks
I'm sorry but using a product from a company that is paying you to advertise as your "good mid-range example" just makes this one big advertisement. (Like you explaining how to pick a good truck while being paid to make the video by Ford. Let me guess, I should get an F-150?). You're also oddly pretty fired up about your side of the arguments which makes me question if your emotions have lead you to only report the data that supports your strong opinion. Either way, I ended up feeling like this was a heated argument about politics in 2020 rather than evaluation of plant lighting and valuable explanations or no, it wasn't engaging and stressed me out. (As a side note, your continued use of the filler word "right?" gets pretty wearing)
Maybe high end grow lights give you that kind of chart, and it's easy to say "don't trust them if they don't give you a chart", but that makes it impossible to make a comparison to good old fashioned T5 florescent. Its just not something that's offered. Regardless, this very was mega informative. So thank you. Unfortunately now I have analysis paralysis when I really need to buy a light for my seed starting.
Thanks for the illuminating video (had to). It explained a lot. Appreciated. My only suggestion is when discussing division, as said, "When you divide 112 into 192, you get 58%…" It sounds as if 112 is getting divided when it's not–it's doing the divide-ing. Like, "Divide 2 into 6." Most will knee-jerk a "3." But it's .66 repeating. It's just much clearer to say, "112 divided by 192." Phrased that way, all fractions can be read from the top, down, with no ambiguity about who's dividing who, which is also the same order you'd enter them on a calculator which is a great tip for folks who run one point short of a decimal. Thanks for the info. I'm from Staten Island.
Also… mole breeding season is approaching 😩 … I should probably make a video on that based on literally the hundreds of hours of research that I’ve done this past year 🤪
Out of all the “popular” YouTube content creators, you are THE BEST! Thank you for all of the content you put out.
Thanks for being my favorite 🙏 ❤️ I really appreciate that you research your claims and back it up with SCIENCE. So many YouTubers just vomit out their personal anecdotes with tons of incorrect information.
If one more person tells me to put a pothos in with my water propagations… I’m gonna scream…
I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for teaching me this so I can understand it. I'm a new cannabis grower. Well I've been growing for about a year and a half. I bought a 600-watt Raptor grow light and a 1000 watt led light really wasn't sure what either ment. I just bought them because my friend told me to. Well I've been wanting to buy a couple new lights but could never quite understand what everything meant the par the ppf I just didn't understand all that but I do now I totally understand it all now because of you and your video thank you so so much it is truly appreciate it Have a Blessed Day

Thanks a lot for this video. I am new to LED Grow Lights sales. This is good learning for me.
You're growing 'food' while the ads are showing MARIJUANA….
Great information. Well done. I learned so much!
Can any of you recommend some White LED light Strips in Europe?
